Schizo Vase from Cork by Studio OOOMS

The Schizo Vase by Studio OOOMS split our mind and makes it see two different vases in the body of one. This modernistic vase is inspirited by the word "schizophrenia" from Greek words for to split (schidzein) and mind (phren). The design studio behind this project Studio OOOMS is managed by Guido Ooms and Karin van Lieshout. Guido Ooms graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2000 and Karin van Lieshout graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2001.

The Schizo Vase combine two forms, the outside is on Amphora vase and the inner shape is from the form of Indian flower vase. The material used for creating this piece of design is dark brown cork. The vase is finished with transparent coat that make the vase usable and waterproof for the flowers and the water. The dimensions of the outside and inside shapes are 49 x 49 x 90 cm / 19, 3 x 19, 3 x 35, 4 inch. The vase is with contemporary design and the finish product doesn’t come cheap. You can have one of these at your home for the price of around 790 euro.
