The inspiration came from shells that produce pearls, so it received the name – Mother of Pearl. The bathtub allows you to create your own combination of light, sound and aromatherapy. You can select one of the wellness program – relaxation, energy, entertainment, tropical pleasure – or you decide for your program that can be saved.


Integrated pots enables planting flowers in any combination you want, and in this way you can enjoy a piece of nature. Faucets and shower are hidden. This all-in-one structure provides a sense of perfection.

Puls “Smart Cuff” By Will.i.am And Zaha Hadid


At Salesforce.com’s Dreamforce conference in San Francisco, American musician and entrepreneur Will.i.am unveiled a voice-controlled wristband smartphone named Puls, featuring special edition designs created by architect Zaha Hadid. This is Will.i.am’s first wearable technology product, which he insisted was not a watch but his own “smart cuff“. “I think watch is an overused word and it’s a very limited space to create in when it come to crossing genders,” he said.


“To expect a female to wear the same watch a guy does… It’s hard to try and consider. But I can wear a cuff and a girl can wear a cuff and the way it fits me is totally different to the way girls have been wearing cuffs forever.”


This standalone smartphone on a wristband will require its own SIM card and mobile connection, but lets you call and text – it sports GSM 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a pedometer and accelerometer.
Its main body, which looks like a chunky squared bracelet, is made from plastic and will be available in a number of colours.


“We welcome these collaborations that add something to our work and we always want to engage with things we don’t know much about,” said Hadid.
“We work on the idea of striation, and how it could also have deflections. From a very large object to a very small object, you can interpret this as a very nice piece to touch. But it also operates as a device.”


A range of clothing and accessories that can interact with the device are also being developed in the future grouped together under the header of “Fashionology”, including a jacket with inbuilt battery for charging, a backpack with speakers, shoes that count your steps for fitness tracking, and glasses that can take photos.

Lulu Frost x Clicquot Mailbox


Veuve Clicquot Champagne introduced the Re-Creation Awards – a competition open to the public, which invites emerging designers to design their very own Clicquot Mailbox. Clicquot Mail is a chic gift offering for Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label that is fashioned in the shape of a modern day mailbox to celebrate Veuve Clicquot’s rich heritage of correspondence. This fall, Veuve Clicquot invites designers and novices alike to submit their own Clicquot Mailbox designs in an international online competition launching on October 1, 2014. The winning design will be reproduced and sold worldwide in 2015.


To kick off the competition, acclaimed jewelry designers Lulu Frost and Pamela Love have created their very own Clicquot Mailboxes. The proceeds from the sale will benefit Parsons The New School for Design as Veuve Clicquot celebrates and supports young designers in the U.S.


“I’ve been a long-time fan of Veuve Clicquot, so to partner with such an iconic brand for this creative competition is a joy and really represents a celebration of fashion,” says Lisa Salzer, designer and founder of Lulu Frost jewelry. “Adding my signature vintage Plaza letters — to spell out ‘LULU LOVES VC,’ of course! -to something as unique as the Clicquot Mailbox shows how jewelry can truly push past the boundaries of the expected, and I hope that this inspires designers around the world to tap into their creativity and participate in this exciting challenge.”


The competition which began on October 1 has a submission deadline for November 15. The design and winner will be unveiled at a ceremony on April 9, 2015, and also at Milan Design Week, starting on April 14, 2015. The winner will also receive $13,000 in prize money and international recognition as their creation will be used as the official design for the 2015 Clicquot Mailbox.
